How to organize and optimize purchasing management in your network? - Review of the 09/27 breakfast

Central purchasing - Central referencing :
How can you organize and optimize purchasing
in your network?

On Tuesday September 27, network trade professionals and experts discussed the crucial role that a central purchasing unit can play in a network. The morning began with a presentation by Laurent DubernaisPresident ofAGT. Laurent meets numerous groups faced with the problem of managing a central purchasing or referencing office. Lhe same observation is often made fragmented information, a lack of control over purchasing, time-consuming and incorrectly calculated discounts. calculations. His company has therefore developed asolution to manage supplier listing, enabling suppliers to declare sales made within the group, calculate discounts according to each supplier's conditions, and share information with all stakeholders.

Then, Martin Le Péchon, a lawyer at the Paris Court and specialist in commercial network law, presented the four main types of central purchasing body (listing center, purchasing center, agent center, wholesale center) before discussing the crucial role that the purchasing center can play in a network. Working exclusively for network leaders, the firm CLP Avocats advises them on building their network and optimizing their group purchasing structure (purchasing and listing centers). "As strategic as it may be, group purchasing within networks is generally not optimized. However, when a network organizes its group purchases efficiently, it reaps many benefits for itself and all members of its network. Beyond these benefits, the franchisor strengthens and enhances its expertise."

And finally, to round off this fine morning of exchanges, Christophe Salmon Chief Financial Officer ANWR-Garant shared his experience in purchasing optimization. ANWR GARANT International (AGI) is Europe's largest affiliated group of shoe, sports goods and leather goods retailers. Their aim is to create and promote cooperative processes between independent retailers and suppliers, offering their members discounts from referenced suppliers and centralized payment (via DZB Bank). Christophe explained how his cooperative works (DZB Bank payment), and presented the advantages for both retailer and supplier. ANWR-Garant uses the AGT Retail solution in particular to centralize data, track indicators and collect information directly in the field.

Many thanks to our customer Christophe Salmon and our partner Martin Le Péchon for sharing their experience.
