At its AGM in Ajaccio last June, the independent group announced the arrival of nine additional sales outlets.

It's a buoyant end to the first half-year for Gedex. The group has announced the entry of nine new sales outlets (7 Gedimat and 2 Gedibois) since May. These are in addition to the 6 Gedimat openings in the first six months of the year. This brings the total number of new branches to 43 over the past 18 months.

At the beginning of July, Gedex now has 489 sales outlets (442 Gedimat and 47 Gedibois), with total sales of €1.83 billion excluding VAT.

At the AGM, the group's members appointed Sabine Chassagne as a member of the Supervisory Board. She manages Etablissements Flamary in Corrèze. The Supervisory Board currently comprises eight members: Alain Guenée (Chairman), Géraud Spire (Vice-Chairman*), Michel Leroux, Nicolas Manen, Benoît Vannier, Jean Derrey, Arnauld Couvreur and, last but not least, Sabine Chassagne. Jérémy Bécam.

* Mr Spire is also Chairman of the French Federation of Timber and Building Materials Traders (FNBM).
