30 years and still in the spirit of adventure!

La Mie Câline joins sailor Arnaud Boissières for the Vendée Globe 2016.

On November 6, La Mie Câline will be joining Arnaud Boissières in the legendary solo, non-stop, unassisted round-the-world race. For the Vendée-based company with the famous cookie, the human adventure extends out to sea.
For the next Vendée Globe, Arnaud Boissières and his boat, renamed La Mie Câline, will carry the brand's colors and values around the world. The result of a meeting between the sailor and David Giraudeau, La Mie Câline's General Manager, this collaboration reflects what has motivated the company since its creation: a human adventure.

" We're delighted to be able to unite all our employees around this great adventure! All our employees and franchisees, over 2,000 people in all, will be living to the rhythm of the race alongside Arnaud Boissières," says a delighted David Giraudeau. And the team has every reason to be enthusiastic: to date, the skipper is one of only two sailors at the start who can claim the feat of finishing the Vendée Globe three times in a row, since Arnaud Boissières already completed it in 2009 (7th place) and 2013 (8th place).

The navigator will now be able to enter the training phase and get down to launching the boat, based at the nautical village in Les Sables d'Olonne. " This type of project cannot exist without partnerships. The collaboration with La Mie Câline, who will be the main sponsor of my race, was decisive for my participation in the Vendée Globe," explains Arnaud Boissières, a native of Arcachon and a Vendée native at heart. As for the boat, it will require a long period of preparation: " This stage, upstream, is essential and decisive for the rest of the race, so nothing must be left to chance " concludes the adventurer.
