Michel Bourel, President and founder of the Cavavin network of wine stores (148 franchised outlets), was elected President of the French Franchise Federation on Wednesday April 13, for a two-year term.

CAVAVIN"I know it's a big responsibility, but I'm taking it on with enthusiasm, conviction and perseverance".With these words, Michel Bourel, CEO of Cavavin, concluded his first speech as president of the French Franchise Federation, following his election by the Board of Directors on Wednesday April 13. He succeeds René Prévost, general manager from Speedy, elected President of the FFF in 2012 and reached the end of his second two-year term.

Among the ongoing projects that Michel Bourel intends to pursue in 2016 and 2017: the Michel Bourel Cavavin franchisemulti-channel (or cross-channel), or new financing methods : "The trend is towards participatory financing"emphasized the new Chairman. For whom the FFF "must analyze the terms and conditions, the consequences for the franchisee and even the franchisor, and determine any constraints or warnings if necessary, to ensure that the development of franchise networks is always preserved, while respecting the code of ethics which constitutes our safeguards".

Michel Bourel also announced the creation of an "FFF Foundation", "probably sheltered by the Fondation de France", whose purpose will be "tohelp young people and disadvantaged people set up businesses " . The FFF has in fact been asked to support the development of employment through the creation of businesses in disadvantaged neighborhoods: "With dedicated investment funds, supported by the political authorities, we are in the process of designing a specific training program", indicated Michel Bourel.

The Annual General Meeting on April 13 also renewed four directorships. Two to the franchisee college: Eric Azan (multi-franchiseeQuickmulti-franchise, Paris) and Stéphanie Lemoine(Jeff de Bruges, Thionville), and two for the franchisor college: Guy Gras for Yves Rocher and Christophe Mauxion for La Boucherie.
