Eric Plat, President of the ATOL opticians' cooperative, succeeds Guy Leclerc as President of the Fédération des enseignes du Commerce Associé.

The Board of Directors of the Fédération des enseignes du Commerce Associé has elected Eric Plat (CEO of Atol since 2010) as its new Chairman, succeeding Guy Leclerc, who has held the post for eight years. Eric Plat will be supported by two vice-presidents: Alain Bertheuil (President of the Astera group of pharmacists) and Miguel Jonchère, an E. Leclerc member and President of Scaouest.

FCA Board member for the past three years and Vice-Chairman since December 2013, Eric Plat, originally from Lyon, has been in the optical business for over twenty years. He joined Atol in 1995, opening his first store in Bordeaux, then joined the group's Board of Directors in 2000, before being appointed Chairman in 2010. Today, Atol is the fourth-largest optical retailer in France, with over 800 stores operated by 670 associate members.

In entrusting the presidency to Eric Plat, the Fédération des enseignes du Commerce Associé "has chosen a personality who has been involved in the associated retail sector for twenty years, while at the same time wishing to mark the alternation in the destiny of the federation, as has been the rule for the past fifty years".
