The year 2019 for networked commerce came to a fitting close with the presentation of the FFF Ribbons. Now it's time for 2020, which promises to be another busy and dynamic year, starting with the Franchise Expo Paris trade show in March, as well as numerous awards ceremonies, competitions and regional events... Here's an overview of what entrepreneurs shouldn't miss!

Paris Franchise Fairs

We begin our 2020 schedule with the Franchise Expo Paris trade show, which will celebrate its 39th edition in the same halls as before, at Porte de Versailles. Reed Expositions and the Fédération Française de la Franchise are announcing that 600 exhibitors will attend this year's show, the last before the big move scheduled for 2021, an increase on 2019.

Visitors will be able to converse with the developers of over 500 chains, including 110 new brands, from 90 sectors of activity. The big names in the restaurant, service, retail and automotive sectors will be present, as well as representatives of emerging concepts, some of which will be honored at the various awards ceremonies scheduled (including the Révélations and Coups de Cœur de l'Express awards).
As is customary, the Experts' Village and the Banks will welcome future creators seeking advice or financing, and the public will also have the opportunity to attend one of the 100 conferences scheduled, covering all themes related to franchising.

A free badge is available online until February 16!

At the end of the year, the Salon SME (October 12 & 13) and the Salon des Services à la Personne (November 17 & 18) will also be held at Porte de Versailles.

The first is dedicated to micro-businesses, and as such covers the franchising sector, hosting some fifteen brands and organizing conferences related to this form of entrepreneurship.

As for the second, it's the biggest event focusing on Personal Services, a sector that's very popular with entrepreneurs. Here, too, a number of franchise networks will be setting up booths to find their future franchisees.

Let's not forget that a few weeks before FEP 2020, the traditional Salon des Entrepreneurs will be taking place, an unmissable first-quarter event. The 2020 edition will occupy several floors of the Palais des Congrès on February 5 and 6, 2020, and admission is free.

Franchise events in the French provinces

At the end of the first half of the year, budding entrepreneurs will meet up in the South-West at the Salon des Bordeaux in June. On the menu: all the advice you need to set up your own business. Over 5,000 visitorsare expected, and more than a hundred partners are expected to attend, notably from the world of franchising.

In autumn, it's time for the Lyon Franchise Forum, which grows every year, welcoming more and more brands and conferences, to attract a wide audience looking for business creation opportunities in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region and throughout the south of the country. Join us on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Cité Internationale - the city's convention center, for a day packed with events and meetings.

Last but not least, Marseille is also entitled to its own franchising fair. After two successful editions, Business Franchise Méditerranée will be back in November, to put recruiting companies in touch with prospective franchisees. A special feature of the show is the opportunity for visitors to make appointments beforehand, enabling them to engage in longer, more structured discussions.

In addition to these trade shows, dozens of other forums, symposia and fairs are being organized throughout France over the next twelve months, culminating in the "Entreprendre en franchise, pourquoi pas vous?" operation in October.

Over the course of nearly two weeks, this networked entrepreneurship highlight will enable prospective franchisees to visit stores in operation, attend conferences and talk to professionals in some twenty provincial towns, all under the aegis of the Fédération Française de la Franchise. Visit our website regularly to be kept informed of the exact dates and locations as soon as they become available.
