The Board of Directors of Mr Bricolage SA yesterday, February 29, appointed ex-Kingfisher Christophe Mistou to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Yesterday, February 29, the Mr Bricolage Group appointed Christophe Mistou as its new Managing Director. A professional in the DIY retail sector, he has worked for Castorama France's sales department, then for the Kingfisher Group's holding company , where he was in charge of sourcing and own brands. He will use his experience to "take Mr.Bricolage into a new phase of growth", hand in hand with Paul Cassignol, Chairman of the SA since September 2015.

To put it plainly, the aim is to leave behind thefailure of the marriage with Kingfisher in early 2015, and the divisions it caused within the structure, to start afresh on a healthy and constructive footing. And regain the market share lost in recent years. In 2015, total sales for the 838 Mr.Bricolage and Les Briconautes stores in France and abroad came to 2.16 billion euros, up slightly (+0.8% on a like-for-like basis). Dynamic abroad, the Group's 766 stores in France posted a 2.6% drop in sales.

Against this backdrop, Christophe Mistou intends to "make things simpler and better" , in order to launch a new strategic development phase.
