Franchising is a contractual model that draws its strength from the vertical hierarchy it creates between franchisor and franchisees.

In fact, it's because the franchisor instills a sales dynamic and imposes a network discipline that hecan guarantee the consistency of the concept and ensure the brand's prosperity.

However, the hierarchy on which franchising is based is also regularly criticized, and it is sometimes difficult for franchisors to know how far their ability to supervise franchisees' activities can go.

To address this topic, Martin Le Péchon, lawyer and founder of CLP Avocats, in partnership with Laurent Dubernais, President of Synergee, is organizing a webinar on April 27, 2021 entitled: Franchisor authority, what limits should not be exceeded?

This webinar will address the following issues:

  • Can the franchisor assist his franchisee in drawing up his business plan, and can and should he provide him with a modeling tool for this purpose?
  • Can the franchisor require the franchisee to make minimum investments in terms of communication?
  • Can the franchisor impose all or part of the suppliers and products on the franchisee?
  • Can the franchisee refuse to use the network's software and/or IT tools?
  • Can sales targets be set for franchisees, and what are the consequences if they don't meet them?
  • Do we need to supply standard ratios / store panels?
  • Should a market study be carried out before the franchisee joins the network, and if so, who should do it (franchisor or franchisee)?
  • Is it possible to make the franchisee's operating territory watertight?

Registration and participation in this webinar are free.
