On July 2, the automotive parts specialist set up a franchise north of Strasbourg. After Colmar, this is its second location in Alsace.

After six months of preparation, Patrick Keller, ex-manager turned entrepreneur, inaugurated his API franchise in Souffelweyersheim, north of Strasbourg, on July 2. This is the second location for the automotive parts specialist in Alsace. And its 51st unit in France.

Launched in 2009 by Groupe Doyen Auto, the API (Auto Parts International) concept has been offered to independents since 2009. The chain has opted for participative franchising: the network head is a co-shareholder in the businesses created. According to its management, this is a way of "securing the support of banks" in the financing of projects. To date, half of the chain's units are operated in this way.

Store concept, management tools, support: the franchisor offers its members a wide range of services. And offers them access to the products and logistical power of its exclusive supplier and owner, Groupe Doyen Auto.

This Strasbourg franchise is the 4th API outlet to open in France since the beginning of the year. And the company is continuing to expand. Looking for candidates with "a good knowledge of the local economic fabric, who are autonomous, adaptable and willing to listen", and with a minimum personal contribution of 50,000 euros, it hopes to increase its network fivefold over the next ten years.
