BCOn September 16, Bernard Cadeau, President of the Orpi real estate network, took part in the FCA workshop. "How to federate or strengthen network participation ". An opportunity to look back at the various tools offered by the group to better unite its 900 members.

"Sharing experience is essential to our performance and to ensuring our long-term future".

// Comment sont animés les débats coopératifs chez Orpi ?

They are organized around several axes: working groups led by volunteer associates, often with the presence of outside speakers; general meetings, of which there are two a year. One approves the accounts and the second presents the forecast budget and action plan for the coming year; a think tank has also been set up, essentially made up of former managers of the cooperativeWe have also set up a think tank, composed mainly of former cooperative managers, to provide us with input on ideas and issues of all kinds.

Cooperative life is punctuated by a sales convention every two years, organized to energize the troops and reinforce the sense of belonging. It's an alternative to travel, with rewards to encourage and congratulate the best salespeople. Once they have been identified, they are then invited to take part in some of the working groups mentioned above.

// Quand est-il de l’organisation, plus gouvernementale ?

There are three colleges of nationally elected representatives, comprising a 7-member Management Board, a Supervisory Board of 12 directors plus a Chairman, and a Disciplinary and Mediation Board, which is more geared towards the general public.

The Management Board is elected for three years on the basis of a strategic project. It is made up of "referent managers" in a particular field (communications, digital, marketing, etc.), elected either because they have a personal affinity for the subject or because they are specialists in it. They are often in contact with GIE of the network. It's a binomial that works rather well.

Comprising 55 MSEs, each headed by a president, the network also organizes a seminar for group presidents and directors. The wealth of content emanating from this event is a solid foundation, essential to the preparation of theGeneral Meeting in September, proposing the cooperative's future strategy. This is what makes us so special, and what gives us our strength: sharing experiences is essential to our performance and to ensuring our long-term future.

It was with this in mind that we recently created the Presidents' Forum, enabling them to exchange best practices throughout the year. Finally, with the aim of continuing these best practices, we offer training courses for each new Chairman or Director through the Orpi Académie.

// Et en termes de communication ?

Every month, we publish a summary of the cooperative's national actions; important information concerning our sector, our communication operations and others are included in a weekly newsletter, the frequency of which varies according to content and current events.

Last but not least, our intranet, which covers all topics by theme, can be accessed at any time by any of our branches.

// Quels sont vos prochains projets ?

To mark the network's 50th anniversary, we are organizing a major national convention in March. Nearly 4,000 employees are expected to attend.

The event is intended to be a convivial one, during which our visions for the cooperative's future actions will be set out. Our think tank is currently working on this project.
