Already owner of the SoCoo'c, Mobalpa and Perene brands, the Fournier group has just finalized the acquisition of Hygena. Positioned in the budget kitchen segment, Hygena has 125 stores.
The Fournier Group has just announced the completion of its acquisition ofHygena from Swedish company Nobia, one of Europe's leading kitchen manufacturers. The latter had announced in September 2014 that it had received an offer from Fournier to buy its French branch.
The French group based in Thônes in Haute-Savoie, which already owns the Socoo'c, Mobalpa and Perenewill significantly strengthen its position in the budget kitchen segment. Hygena has a network of 125 directly-operated stores. The French company's sales will also change considerably. Fournier achieved sales of 252 million euros in 2014 and Hygena sales of 120 million euros.
The Fournier Group plans to merge the networks Socoo'c and Hygena. "The market is mature and undergoing consolidation. In this context, it is essential to reach critical thresholds in terms of the number of points of sale and geographical coverage. The Hygena network has 125 branches,while Socoo'chas 42 stores, including 39 franchises: the new entity could become a major national player in the budget kitchen market, "explained Anthony Cinato, brand director at SoCoo'c.
