Mende, December 18, 2014. Ms Christine Estival, Principal of Lycée Peytavin de Mende and Laurent Dubernais, CEO of AGT, announce a school-company partnership agreement initiated at the end of 2013. The aim of this agreement is to create a multi-year collaboration between AGT and students in the BTS Computer Science section at Lycée Peytavin. AGT is committed to training them in business intelligence and its solutions, and to offering them internship opportunities and professional outlets.

AGT, whose head office is based in Mende in the Lozère region of France, chose the Lycée Emile Peytavin for its geographical proximity and the quality of the IT training it offers. AGT is a publisher of SaaS-based management, animation and decision-making solutions designed to improve the performance of retail and service networks. The company centralizes and consolidates the financial and commercial information of its retail network customers, and analyzes it using comparable panels.

" We want to make these young students aware of the company's economic dimension, its solutions and products, its customers, its processes and its development, as well as its human dimension," says Céline Teixido, AGT's Human Resources Manager.

Following an initial meeting between the managers last December, AGT organized a workshop on business intelligence at Lycée Peytavin, led by an expert in the field. The students were first given a presentation of the speciality, followed by practical exercises. Secondly, they were given a presentation of AGT and the opportunities offered in this specialty and by the company. Further meetings and workshops are already scheduled with AGT to train them in business intelligence methodologies and technologies.

Christine Estival, Headmistress of Lycée Peytavin, emphasizes: "Above all, it's about bringing together the section's academic offerings and the demand from companies, so as to better prepare students for internships and their professional integration - a real added value".

Laurent Dubernais, CEO of AGT, explains: "The common thread running through this local cooperation is the desire to raise awareness and understanding of business intelligence, to help students enter this job-creating field. Clearly, we want to support local economic development, training and employment. So it seemed natural to us to get closer to the talent pool that our fast-growing company needs.

Established in Lozère for almost 20 years, AGT is a fast-growing company that is constantly on the lookout for new employees. " We have a constant need for "R&D" profiles to develop our solution, "consultants" to parameterize it and "customer support" to maintain it, all trained in Microsoft technologies. "

He concludes, " On AGT's side, this collaboration enables us to recruit young graduates, apprentices, students on professionalization contracts and trainees who have already been trained to meet our needs. It's also a great way of raising our profile among future technicians, engineers and teaching staff. In concrete terms, this BTS section is a real breeding ground, with 3 to 4 students per year joining our ranks.
